1. If user is alleging a premature countdown (3-week, 2-week, 1-week, etc.), verify the activation date. If the premature countdown is verified, use code 045. If the countdown is an expected (not premature) countdown alert, educate the patient and document as an inquiry 929 instead.
2. If out of warranty, advise they order a new one. If not, return and replace the transmitter.
3. The G6 transmitter’s life expectancy is 3 months from when use began. If the patient inserted the transmitter into the transmitter holder prior to activation, educate that the transmitter battery life begins when the transmitter is inserted.
