1. Check if the patient is entering only values between 40-400 mg/dL (2.2 - 22.2 MMol/L). It will not accept anything outside that range.
2. Document “Calibrate in 15 mins (readings stopped)” or “Calibrate now (readings continued)”.
3. Make sure the patient has waited 15 minutes, and then entered at least 1 calibration. If no readings display on the receiver after this additional FS, the sensor needs to be replaced.
Acetaminophen [uh-see-tuh-min-uh-fuhn] (also known as Paracetamol in UK and Canada) is contraindicated for G6 for amounts over 1,000 mg over the course of a 6 hour period.
